1 judgment call
•• Judgment 1. judging, being judged. 2. the decision of a judge, etc. in a law court.... 5. an opinion (Oxford American Dictionary).
Time: Nobody knows by exactly what mechanism particles might cause disease. Given the state of the science, any analysis of pollution risks must be a judgment call.

The Book of Common Prayer]But when I was in the hospital the pastor of the Pentecostal Communion Faith used to come to see me, and he showed me, tight from the prophecies written in the Word of God, that the day of Judgment is coming and all the members of the older churches are going straight to eternal damnation, because they only do lip-service and swallow the word, the flesh and the devil - (S. Lewis, ‘Babbitt’, ch.

You have only to look at the Senate of the United States, to see how that body is capable of turning itself into a court of preliminary hearings for the Last Judgment, wasting its time and our time... (W. Lippmann, ‘A Preface to Politics’, ch.
